I do a lot of day hiking In high elevation, most backpacks made for dogs to fit in don’t have space for personal items or water bladders. with this backpack I can pack necessities for myself for my dogs a water bladder and my dog still fits comfortably. I’ve got a 7 pound Chihuahua and 15 pound Chihuahua mix fit in comfortably, not together, of course, the only complaint I have is I wish the hip straps were more solid/padded and could bear more weight because the area of the bag the dog fits is out of the center of gravity and it adds more weight to the shoulders. With that being said I’m still beyond impressed how thoughtful the design is.

Excellent quality, great looking and comfortable for both, dog and owner! We have two dachshunds and they travel everywhere with us. Bought two rucksacks and the LOVE them! One did not want to leave the rucksack from the moment he got it. :)
The rucksack is also comfortable to carry and can be adjusted to your size and posture. Highly recommended to all small dog owners who want to make their dog comfortable on long journeys or in bad weather.

I bought this during the pandemic when my cat was trained to use a backpack. It's great as it puts most of the weight of your pet on your hips a long as the waist belt is secured. I need to know now if I can use it for airplane travel. Has anyone had any issues while traveling?
